I have been back at my volunteer job for a couple of weeks, and today, a woman called because she is a performer and wants to add us to her list of cancer resources at her shows, which I gather include some "cancer thriver" (her term) content. So I mentioned the women's open mic and asked her if she goes, and not only does she go, but she remembered my poem from last time, and quoted some of it back to me. Nifty!
